What we are making next

Three projects in development, each in our house style: voice and natural sound, calm and honest stories. All are free for everyone to watch and listen to. Want to help bring one to life? Give →

Animated seriesIn development

Kandora Boy

A nine-year-old puts on his kandora and the world changes shape.

Kandora Boy explores the world. Each time he puts on his kandora he sees the world from a new angle, and he learns what it means to be seen as Muslim. Each episode is for boys, and for girls too, who want to understand how it feels to be looked at, and how to answer with good character.

Our style

We draw our own character and world. The signature is sound: when he wears the kandora he hears what people think as sounds. A low hum for doubt, a light tapping for curiosity, warm wind for kindness.

  • For ages 7 to 11
  • Short episodes of about 3 minutes
  • Voice and natural sound only
  • Idea stage

Listen Here

A child asks three questions. The place answers too.

Every episode is recorded in one real place: a bakery at four in the morning, a lighthouse, a mechanic's workshop, a fishing boat. A child asks an adult three questions. The place is a guest: its sounds are the only backdrop. The listener learns to hear where they are.

Our style

We record on location, and the sound of the place is the set. Every episode ends with a minute of the place on its own, so the listener can just be there.

  • For the whole family
  • Episodes of 10 to 15 minutes
  • Recorded on location

Nature series for childrenIn development

One Square Metre

Ten minutes. One square metre. A whole world.

Each episode watches one square metre of nature for ten minutes: a patch of sand, a rock pool, a corner of a date palm, a hedge. A child narrator whispers what they notice. A scientist is on the phone to answer the questions. We show how much goes on when we look closely.

Our style

Real footage at the animals' own eye level, in real time, with a child's voice and the true sounds of the patch. Unhurried pacing. We slow down so that children can look.

  • For ages 4 to 10
  • Episodes of 10 minutes
  • Live nature footage and real sound
  • Idea stage
